White Hair, Pink Top, Blue Bin

THE PHOTO:
Taking this photo was a delight as it marked my rediscovery of the park that I took this popular shot from 2004 when I visited Melbourne for the first time.

Unfortunately I missed the full autumn burst by a month or two, but I was determined to get at least one shot. As I was lining up for this shot this little old lady strolled into the frame. Often I recognise that my landscapes need a point of focus so I was quite happy that she did, with her bright pink top and white hair – unfortunately cropping the blue bin would have lessened the shot.

POST-PROCESSING:
Heavy levels and curves, duplicate layer blended, crop.
