THE PHOTO:
Setting sun filtered through clouds on a rural setting just outside of Melbourne near the Yarra Valley region.

I would have loved to have some thing interesting in the foreground of this shot (horses etc), but it was a rushed moment.

POST-PROCESSING:
This is one of those moments when only HDR can really come close to revealing what dynamic range the human eye is capable of perceiving. If I get time I will upload the middle exposure of this 3 bracket set to show you the pure lack of detail in the original – sure this has been photoshopped with levels, sharpening and dodge and burn etc, but it still relied on a multiple-exposure bracketed tone-mapped image to get this result.
