Riverlea

THE PHOTO:
Looking upstream from the over-bridge at Huka Falls on the Waikato River, just outside Taupo. The first signs of a southern-hemisphere autumn was beginning to show on the color of the leaves.

POST-PROCESSING:
Because of the high ISO (800), this was never going to have print quality, so I decided to push the saturation, used dodge and burn and pulled out an old favorite – Velvia Vision – to try and achieve a middle-earth type quality to the shot.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: NIKON D70
  • Taken: 3 March, 2007
  • Focal length: 70mm
