Narrow D.O.F.

THE PHOTO:
A bit of fluff on the back fence. Shot with a relatively narrow Depth of Field at f6 to blur the foreground and background creating a plane of focus.

POSTPROCESSING:
This is the first time I have used the High-Pass filter effect for sharpening (as explained here) – with very good results. Then run through Neat Image for noise reduction and Fred Miranda’s Velvia Vision plugin for contrast and saturation enhancement.
