THE PHOTO:
One of the extravagant motifs on the Ponte Santa Trinita (Holy Trinity Bridge) on the River Arno. This one I believe depicts the rebuilding of the bridge after it was destroyed in WWII, using the original stones that were recovered from the river. The title reflects the date – 1569 – of the original construction.
