Marilyn’s Mouth
THE PHOTO:
Crop of a tiled wall depicting the Warhol-esque portrait of Norma Jeane Mortenson aka Marilyn Monroe. The wall is a feature of the American Garden at the Hamilton Garden complex.
I decided to crop the face leaving the iconic mouth. On reflection, a crop of just the eyes would have been as easily identifiable.
POST-PROCESSING:
Leaving out the majority of details, the vignette has it’s focus on the mouth. Noise has been added, and if it looks a bit over-compressed, it’s because the normal file size would have been 300kb, so a much larger compression level was required, leaving a less than desirable result.
