Macedon Autumn
THE PHOTO:
Some days you just strike it lucky. This was one of those days – Easter Monday 2009 – a perfect blue-sky autumn day. I visited Mt Macedon to capture some autumn color, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect to discover one of the most amazing private gardens in the state.
Complete with two small lakes, pathways, forest (complete with gnomes), bridge, etc etc this massive garden expanse made me feel like I was in some gardener’s dream.
POST-PROCESSING:
Unfortunately, I shot the first dozen of shots of this garden at ISO 500, which meant that the contrasts were out of whack and needed a bit of photoshopping, needless to say, that this doesn’t do justice to the actual scene.
