Futile Challenge

THE PHOTO:
This is La Renommée de la Guerre (Fame of War) by Clément Steine, one of the “Fames” – gilded statues that sit atop the bridge anchors on the Pont Alexandre III in Paris. As chance would have it, a plane with vapour-trails crossed in front of the moon as part of the frame of the shot, providing some imaginary context to the statue’s pose.

POST-PROCESSING:
Pre-process in LightRoom – the main being the split-toning and vignette, with a crop (and slight rotation). Photoshop was used for levels/curves and sharpening.

    EXIF:

  • Taken: 9 May, 2011
