THE PHOTO:
Taken in March ’05, the catchlight on the line caught my eye as this guy was casting at the ‘picket fence’ at Waitahanui on Lake Taupo. I thought I had uploaded this image previously.
POSTPROCESSING:
Due to the quality of the original image and the desired end result this was quite a challenge. In the end it took the following to get it to look like this: Rotate, Crop, Smart Sharpen, Velvia Vision (for dynamic range), Monochrome and 55mm Mono Tint (Blue), Noise Reduction and lastly a Duplicate layer with Guassian Blur set to Soft Light at 60% opacity.
