THE PHOTO:
Featuring the same flower as shown a couple of shots ago, this one was taken with the sun directly behind the stem, and filtered through some trees beyond that. This shot is all about light, I like the translucence of the petals, the diffraction from the trees and the shadows – hence the black and white treatment. Expect to see more black or white (or seriocomic versions thereof) as I try and understand more completely this most important factor in photography.

POST-PROCESSING:
The Usual: crop, Velvia Vision (for dynamic range increase), sharpen, B&W.
