600mm

THE PHOTO:
A gaggle of photogs at the A1GP with their big 600m f4 L lenses attached to their Canons. I was one of the many Nikonians in the crowd feeling ever so slightly envious.

POST-PROCESSING:
I ended up stuffing this one by not saving the master, so I hope I don’t have to revisit this, but the steps were basically crop, sharpen, shadow/highlight, selective blur (to reduce final size by loosing some detail in the grass), levels, curves, 50% desaturation.

    EXIF:

  • Aperture: ƒ/22
  • Camera: NIKON D70
  • Taken: 21 January, 2007
  • Exposure bias: -1.5EV
  • Focal length: 200mm
  • Shutter speed: 1/180s
